About Mike Wade - Builder |
|
Some years ago Mike came across that quote from an executive of a
major ship building company, and it became his philosophy for building
houses and for doing business on the Virginia Peninsula these While
attending Virginia Tech, he discovered he had a natural love and
aptitude for working with wood. He soon began doing trim work for local
Blacksburg builders and then started framing houses for them and later,
for builders all over the Virginia Peninsula. Married with
three sons, he knows he is not just building a house but helping to
construct the future home lifestyle of families and individuals. He also
is very conscious of cost control for his clients and is always willing
to give advice all through the construction process.
As a
“hands-on” builder, he is on the job to oversee every aspect of the
construction. From the footing placement to the interior trim, tile
works and floor finishing, he looks at every
detail as if he will be living there himself. By being so thorough in
the field work, he knows his clients will be very satisfied and happy
with the completed home.
Asked what he considered his major strengths as a general contractor, he said, “I really know local subcontractors because I’ve worked beside them so many years. I hire the best for my projects and work closely with them. But I never forget who my bosses are. The people who have done me the honor of letting me build their dream custom home.” |
